Free career counselling for new students

Short answer: choose DCA if you want to learn office computer skills quickly, in 6 months. Choose ADCA if you can give 12 months and want stronger skills, including Advanced Excel, basic programming and web pages, for better job options.

Both courses are open to students who have passed 10th, from any stream. Below, we compare them in simple words so you can decide which one fits your goal.

What is DCA?

DCA stands for Diploma in Computer Applications. At Falah TechLab it is a 6-month course. It teaches the computer skills that most office jobs need: Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, the basics of MS Access, internet and email, Google Drive, Docs and Sheets, basic poster design and simple web pages with HTML.

DCA is a good choice if you want to start working soon, or if you need computer skills alongside your college studies. You can read the full syllabus on our DCA course in Jamshedpur page.

What is ADCA?

ADCA stands for Advanced Diploma in Computer Applications. At Falah TechLab it is a 12-month (1 year) course. It includes everything in DCA, and then goes further.

In ADCA you also learn:

  • Advanced Excel: VLOOKUP, pivot tables and simple dashboards
  • Design and DTP basics
  • C programming
  • HTML and CSS web pages
  • Databases: MS Access and MySQL basics
  • Networking and online safety
  • A final project that you can show in interviews

See the complete syllabus on our ADCA course in Jamshedpur page.

Which course should you choose after 10th?

If you have just passed 10th and are continuing your studies, DCA is usually enough to become confident with computers alongside school. If you are not continuing full-time studies and want a stronger base for work, ADCA is the better choice because it gives you more skills in one course.

Which course should you choose after 12th or graduation?

After 12th or graduation, most students choose ADCA, because employers prefer candidates who know Advanced Excel and have some idea of programming and databases. Commerce students in particular get a lot from the Advanced Excel part. If you only have a few months before starting a job, DCA is the faster option.

What jobs can you get after DCA or ADCA?

After DCA, students usually apply for computer operator and data entry jobs. After ADCA, you can also apply for MIS executive and back-office roles, where Advanced Excel is important.

In Jamshedpur, these skills are needed in offices, shops, schools, hospitals and the many small companies in the Adityapur industrial area. For government jobs, the computer certificate helps, but you also need to prepare for the recruitment exam separately.

Is ADCA worth one extra year?

It depends on your goal. If you want only basic office work, the extra 6 months may not be needed. If you want better job options, plan to study programming later, or want to handle reports and data in Excel, ADCA is worth it. It also saves time, because you do not need to do DCA first.

How are classes at Falah TechLab?

Classes are practical. Every topic is practised on a lab computer, with the trainer present to help. Batches are small, and morning and evening batches are available, so school students, college students and working people can all join.

When you finish, you get a certificate with a unique ID. Employers can check it online on our certificate verification page.

How much is the fee for DCA and ADCA?

Fees depend on the course and the batch. Call or WhatsApp 84849 16829 to know the current fee. Free counselling is available before admission, so you can ask all your questions first.
